How to install an Expert Advisor into the MetaTrader 4 platform

Install Expert Advisor (EA) or Forex Robot into the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform is a simple process. All that is required are some basic computer skills and, of course MT4 platform that you download from the Broker (login and password for the MT4 account you will get from the Broker).

The EA/Robot installation will always be on a computer (PC or VPS) in the MT4 Platform. The Metatrader 4 platform also has an application that allows you to see the trading from a smart smartphone or Tablet.

All you need to do is copy and paste the EX4 file that you got by email to the Experts folder in your MT4.

Step 0 – Download from the Email the EX4 file that you got (DoubleFXRobotXXXXX.ex4 –> this is your private copy of Double FX Robot) to your Desktop.

Step 1 – Open your MT4 and Go to File –> Open Data Folder.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2 – Double-click on the MQL4 folder.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 3 – Double-click on the Experts folder.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 4 – Copy and paste your ex4 file into the Experts folder (from your desktop).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 5 – Go to the Navigator window and refresh your Expert Advisors folder by right-clicking on Expert Advisors and Refresh (you will see your DoubleFXRobotXXXXX file appear).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 6 – Press the Auto Trading Button.

 

 

 

Step 7 – Drag and drop your EA onto the chart you want (EUR/USD, for example).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 8 – Choose the Inputs tab to change the default parameters if needed and press OK.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 9 – Repeat steps 7 and 8 with all the currencies that you want according to your favorite profit/risk.

Now you can enjoy your EA / Forex Robot and, of course, better Forex trading results.
